Emir gives credential of Ambassador of Argentina

The Emir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani on Tuesday approved Cabinet decision No (29) of 2013, regarding the setting up of a grievance committee for real estates' expropriation and to define its functions.

HH the Emir also ratified various cabinet decisions to expropriate some real estate in public interest.

Besides, HH the Emir endorsed the Cabinet's decision No (27) of 2013, on the applicability of provisions of Law No (24) of 2002 regarding the retirement and pension benefits for Qatari citizens working with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS).

HH the Emir also endorsed the Cabinet's decision No (28) of 2013, on the applicability of the provisions of Law No (24) of 2002 on retirement and pension benefits for Qatari nationals working with Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Al Thani Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF).

Furthermore, HH the Emir approved the Cabinet's decision No (33) of 2013, amending provisions of the decision No (16) of 2011, regarding the setting up of National Committee for Occupational Safety and Health.

The decisions will be effective from the date of their issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Emir meets new envoys HH the Emir received at his Emiri Diwan office on Tuesday the credentials of five new ambassadors to Qatar.

HH the Emir received the credentials of HE Qaderi Ardeshir, ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan; HE Nicholas Dunster Hopton, ambassador of the United Kingdom; HE Ioannis Metaxas, ambassador of Greece; HE Yvette van Eechoud, ambassador of the Netherlands; and HE Rossana Cecilia Surballe, ambassador of Argentina.

The ambassadors conveyed to HH the Emir the greetings and good wishes of their countries' leaders for further progress and prosperity of Qatari people and Qatar.

HH the Emir, for his part, welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their tasks.

HH the Emir also expressed his hope that bilateral ties between Qatar and the diplomats' countries would grow stronger. Before presenting their credentials, the new ambassadors attended an official reception ceremony.

Emir receives message HH the Emir received a written message from Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Tuesday, related to bilateral relations and means to enhance them.

Japanese Ambassador to Qatar HE Kenjiro Monji handed over the message to HH the Emir, during an audience at his Emiri Diwan office.

Afterwards, HH the Emir presented the Japanese Ambassador with the Sash of Merit in appreciation of his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations.

HH the Emir wished the Japanese ambassador success in his future assignments and further cementing of ties between Qatar and Japan.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador expressed his thanks to HH the Emir and state officials for their cooperation during his tenure in Qatar.
