On March 11, 2018, as part of the activities organized in Doha in order to celebrate Women's Day, the Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to the State of Qatar, Rossana Surballe, participated in a panel organized by the UNESCO Regional Office and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, on the role of women in peace processes.
The panel was also composed by Lulwah Al Khater, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ivonne Baki, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador; Ewa Polano, Ambassador of Sweden; Fatma Mohammed Rajab, Ambassador of Tanzania and Bahia Tahzib-Lie, Ambassador of the Netherlands.
The presentations referred to the role of women in diplomacy of peace processes, in particular the implementation in different latitudes of UN Security Council Resolution 1325/2000. The experiences presented attracted great interest from the audience, which interacted in the round of questions.
